Eamon Drew of BirdDog | Interview snippets from NAB BuZZ 2018 podcasts with Larry Jordan
Eamon Drew: Correct. We also have audio intercom and tallying. We’re really excited about our audio intercom system. We’ve actually developed the world’s first audio intercom system with video preview windows and that’s available free for all of our customers until September 30.
Larry Jordan: An audio intercom with video preview?
LJ: I have to look at the people I’m listening to? This could be a scary thing.
ED: Yeah, I guess so.
LJ: FaceTime over IP, all right. Keep going. Tell me what is this?
ED: It’s an application that you run on any Windows 10 device, so that can be a notebook, a computer, or even a Microsoft Surface if you want to use it as a touchscreen way. With comms application, as I mentioned, it’s going to be free for all our customers until September 30. After that, it will be 495 for a tens user license. Audio comms, it’ll give you everything you expect from a comms system, so you’ve got eight party lines, so groups have been set up, push to talk support, and you’ll be able to mute various channel operators and things like that. So, yeah, that’s what we’re really excited about.
LJ: Is that new news for the show?
ED: That is new news for NAB.
