Larry Jordan: So what have you got that's new for us at the show?'

Jon Tatooles: One of the things that's quite new for us and exciting is we purchased a company called Audio Limited. Audio Limited is a 50-year-old wireless manufacturer, specialty high-performance wireless manufacturer from the UK and they came up with a superb digital RF link. Audio Limited now is a part of Sound Devices and we have introduced the 810 Digital Wireless System. This is an all-digital wireless system. Wireless is a challenging environment from a regulatory environment and the FCC taking away spectrum and so you've got this spectrum shortage. Having a system that can work as efficiently as possible with multiple systems is what they came up with and their digital modulation scheme is very exciting for us.

LJ: You've touched on something which is affecting a lot of people, with the recent spectrum sale that the FCC went through. We're having to relocate a lot of television station's transmitters and that's relocating into wireless audio space. Do we need to upgrade all of our wireless gear and has Audio Limited taken that into account?

JT: The current offering from Audio Limited takes all that into account. Yes, indeed, you may have a system that's presently operating in the 600 and some megahertz band and that will soon be not usable. That may, even right now, be used by the cellular operators, but that will soon be illegal to operate and so that customer will need to move into another band.
