Vernon Freedlander of Bannister Lake | Interview snippets from NAB BuZZ 2019 podcasts with Larry Jordan
Larry Jordan: Welcome back. Day two of NAB. This is Larry Jordan. I’m talking with Vernon Freedlander. He is responsible for strategic partnerships for Bannister Lake. Hello, Vernon. Welcome.
Vernon Freedlander: Hi Larry. Good to be here.
Larry Jordan: So what’s Bannister Lake?
Vernon Freedlander: Bannister Lake is a Canadian data aggregation and graphics management software solution. When I’m discussing data, what we’re talking about is that we’re all familiar with that lower third at the bottom of the screen where news headlines come across.
Larry Jordan: Oh, those little streaming thingies.
Vernon Freedlander: That’s right. That’s right. And so what our software does is it gives a broadcaster the ability to ingest multiple data feeds at once, go into our database, and then the user can actually manage them. What I mean by manage them is they can create a very unique layout so they can have multiple data feeds on the screen and they can completely customize them. They can moderate them. They can edit them. They can manage them in terms of their end points where they end up being distributed to, and it allows broadcasters to get a lot more monetization opportunities and a lot more mileage out of those data feeds.
