How to receive titles in Final Cut Pro X (FCPX) with A.I.

1. Install application and FCPX share destination

Download Simon Says macOS app from the Mac App Store and launch it. Then add ‘share destination' via the pop-up window or the main menu.

2. Share project and transcribe

Restart FCPX and export your project (with music/sound effects tracks disabled) to ‘Simon Says Transcription'. On the FCPX notification, click ‘Show' and you'll be redirected to the Simon Says app. Select the language of your project, click ‘Transcribe' and pay (new users get free credit). Simon Says supports 100+ languages.

3. Preview in the Visual Subtitle Editor

The A.I. should generate the transcript in a few minutes! Export to the ‘Visual Subtitle Editor’ to preview it as title cards. Combine, split, and edit titles as needed: the timecode will be synced for you. If you’d like to translate your titles, export and choose from 100+ languages.

4. Import titles back to FCPX

Click ‘Export’ > ‘Final Cut Pro X’ and select ‘Titles’. Drag and drop the titles from Simon Says into your FCPX event. You should now see a duplicate of your project with the AI-generated titles. From here, you can edit the formatting of your titles in the inspector panel.

With Simon Says, you can swiftly and accurately title your video edits and FCP projects. Say goodbye to the tedious and frustrating. Hello Simon Says. :)
